FAMILY COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION EVENTS

AGC recognizes that community and family involvement is integral to the school's success. AGC employs a variety of communication strategies and holds regular parent education events to foster this involvement. In addition to holding two parent teacher conferences, three progress reports and three report cards are distributed to keep families regularly informed of student progress towards learning goals. As well, folders are sent home each Friday containing classroom newsletters, announcements from the office, and student work. We also welcome families to participate in our education events such as Open House and Literacy Night. In addition, AGC believes it is a critical part of the learning process for students to share their accomplishments with the community. Therefore, we hold performances and exhibitions throughout the year. These all serve as a way for families to become engaged in what their students are learning at school.

Family Education Nights

Please join other AGC families to explore what your child is discovering at school and ways in which you can support their learning at home. Events are held from 5:45 - 6:45 p.m., directly following PTA meetings, and topics include:

January 27: Health & Nutrition
February 24: The Arts
March 24: International Awareness
April 28: Spanish & English Language Learning
May 26: Summer Learning Opportunities
