To foster collaboration between families and the school, AGC requires families to volunteer at least 20 hours of their time each school year. Opportunities for volunteering are listed in the school office, and include:
- maintaining the school garden
- reading to students
- assisting during breakfast and lunch
- serving as a PTA board member
- chaperoning field trips
- fundraising
- organizing events and performances
- sharing cultural traditions with students
- assisting teachers in classrooms
